With the passage of the Wall Street bailout, Congress renewed the investment tax credit through 2016, and lifted the cap on solar electric. The bill extends the credit for residential solar property for eight more years. It also removed the cap on the credit (previously $2,000) now 30%, effective for solar electric property placed in service after December 31. |
