Why Solar Electric
How to get started
The commercial solar process works in the same steps as a residential process. The only major difference being the installation times range from one to several weeks, depending on system size and complexity.
Solar Sign Lighting
We offer complete solar sign lighting . Never pay for electricity to light your business's sign again.

1. Assessment All we need to get started is some simple information about your home and your electricity consumption. (A utility bill will suffice.) Other helpful information will include approximate orientation of your roof (e.g., South), and roof material. 2. Schedule an Appointment We will schedule a time to come to your home to perform a site evaluation and consultation. Site evaluations are $100.00 and usually take 1 to 2 hours. During this visit, we will collect the information needed to generate a proposal. 3. Proposal Review Real Earth Power will deliver a proposal to you in person. The proposal includes the system design, cost, and tax credits. 4. Sign Contract If you decide to go ahead with the project, you will then sign a contract with Real Earth Power. From here, we will take care of permitting, construction, inspections, and utility interconnection. 5. Installation Installation will start once a contract has been signed, all permits and materials are obtained. Residential installation times usually range from 3 days to several weeks. 6. Final Inspection After your installation is complete, your system will be inspected by your municipality (if applicable) and your utility company. Real Earth Power will schedule and attend all municipal inspections. Following your utility inspection, your system will be activated. Real Earth Power will provide all owner's manuals, warranties and instructions on how to monitor your system's performance.
Solar PV is powered by the sun with no moving parts and is FREE and does not depend on global markets. Solar PV gives you electricity for decades to come and your electrical cost will never go up. A radical change in the way we generate electricity is under way. Over the coming years, giant smokestacks and nuclear plants will start to be replaced by smaller “human scale” power systems on our homes and businesses, generating electricity from the infinite and renewable energy of the sun. Like personal computers, wireless phones and the Internet, solar electric power systems have become a practical technology. Install a solar electric system and join the leading edge of this clean energy revolution.

Roof Mount This is the most common type of installation for residential and commercial buildings. Solar roof installations are light weight. Most residential and commercial roofs are able to accept this additional load without the need for modification. Ground Mount In cases where there is not enough roof space, solar panels can also be mounted on the ground. There are two types of ground mounts. The first is a wedge style, which is a fixed mount. The second type is the pole mount, which can be manually adjusted for the suns angle at different times of the year. Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) These installations are integrated into the structure of a building. Common BIPV mounts include car ports and awnings. These type of installations provide function in addition to power production.
The average cost for a PV system is $10.00 per watt for a system to be designed and installed. The average residential system costs in the range of $30,000.00 to $50,000.00 without state and federal incentives. Wait! I know what your thinking, thats too much money. Your saying to yourself my electric bill is cheaper than that. Well that's what the utility companies want you to think. Below you will find some compelling numbers. These numbers are estimates that consider rate hikes, inflation, and other factors. System costs are estimated, projects will vary depending on equipment and complexity. Monthly Bill Estimated 25yr. Cost System/cost Savings Value added to home Estimated ROI $150.00 $130,000.00 4 Kw/$38,000 $92,000 $30,000.00 10 years $200.00 $176,000.00 5 Kw/$48,000 $128,000 $39,000.00 10 years $250.00 $220,000.00 6 Kw/$58,000 $162,000 $48,000.00 10 years These numbers do not include state and federal incentives, which could reduce the cost of your system by as much as 65 percent. Think of it as prepaying your electric bill for 25 years, how many of you prepay for heating oil so you freeze your price for the winter. Whats the return on investment for that and how much value did you add to your home? Consider this, installing a 2 kilowatt system will reduce your electric bill and add approximately $20,000 to your home value. It will also remove CO2 from the atmosphere equal to planting 1 acre of trees,or removing 1 car from the road that drives 8000 mile per year.
